One of the most important concerns of all visitors to the Dominican Republic is how good are the medical facilities. The privite clinics are very good and the doctors have all been trained in Canada, Europe or the United States.
Now if you have to have open heart surgery I would suggest that you return home but for emergancy treatments the doctors here as good as you will find any where in the world.
